Questions carriers actually ask.
If yours is not here, message us and we will answer it straight.
How much does your dispatch service cost?
8% of linehaul. We do not charge on the fuel surcharge, detention or any other accessorial, so the percentage only comes off the part that pays the truck. There is no sign-up fee, no weekly minimum and no buyout.
Is there a contract?
No term contract. You can stop at any point without notice, a fee or a buyout. We would rather keep carriers because the work is good than because a document traps them.
Do I need my own authority?
Yes. We work with owner operators running their own MC. We will never ask you to run under someone else's authority, and you should walk away from anyone who offers it, because the liability lands on you.
My authority is brand new. Can you still help?
Yes, but be realistic about the first stretch. Plenty of brokers want to see some months on a new MC before they will set you up, so the early weeks are usually slower. If you are still waiting on your authority to activate, wait it out before paying anyone.
What equipment do you dispatch?
Box trucks, dry van, flatbed, hotshot, power only, reefer and step deck. Non CDL through Class 8.
Do you guarantee a rate per mile?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Rates move by lane, week and equipment. What we will do is show you every load before booking it so you can judge each one against your own costs.
Will I see loads before you book them?
Always. You get the broker, the rate, the loaded and deadhead miles and the appointment times, and nothing gets booked until you say yes.
Do you charge for detention or accessorials?
No. We invoice them on your behalf and you keep all of it. Our percentage only applies to linehaul.
How do I get paid?
You keep your own factoring or direct billing relationship. We send the invoice with complete paperwork the same day you deliver, because most brokers count their payment terms from a clean invoice, not from delivery.
What paperwork do you need to start?
Four documents. Your operating authority letter, certificate of insurance, W-9, and a signed dispatch agreement. You can photograph them and send them over WhatsApp.
Can I send you a rate confirmation to look at?
Yes. Text or WhatsApp a photo of it. We will tell you what we think of the rate whether or not you ever become a customer.
Do you work weekends?
Our posted hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm Central. Message outside those hours and you will get a reply when we open.
Are you a broker?
No. We are a dispatch service. We do not own trucks, we do not take title to freight, and we work for the carrier rather than the shipper.
What if I decide I do not need a dispatcher?
Then you do not need one. If you already track your costs, work your own broker relationships and have the hours to do it, you may well be better off keeping the 8%. We will tell you that on the first call if we think it is true.
