REEFER DISPATCH

Reefer dispatch for owner operators.

Reefer pays more than dry van and carries more risk. The rate premium is really compensation for tighter windows, more claims exposure and a piece of machinery that can fail.

Reefer dispatch service for owner operators
48 AND 53 FOOT REFRIGERATED TRAILERS

We book freight for reefer operators running their own authority. 8% of linehaul, nothing taken from your fuel surcharge or your accessorials, and no contract to get out of.

What we book for reefer

Produce, frozen goods, dairy, packaged food and temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals. Appointment windows are tighter than dry van and receivers are less forgiving, which is why the rates sit higher and why late arrivals cost more than they do elsewhere.

Produce season moves the whole market

When reefers chase produce into a region, capacity leaves everywhere else, and lanes that were reliable in March behave differently in June. Knowing when to follow the money and when to stay put is most of what separates a good reefer year from an average one.

Reefer breakdown cover is separate

Standard cargo insurance often will not cover a load spoiled by a unit failure. Reefer breakdown is its own endorsement, and finding out it is missing after a claim is an expensive lesson. If you haul temperature controlled freight, that is the line on your policy to check first.

Temperature records protect you

Set point, download, and photographs of the unit at pickup and delivery. A claim on a reefer load is far more likely to be argued than on dry van, and the paperwork you kept is what decides it. We put the required set point on the rate confirmation so there is no dispute about what you were told.

Running something else?

We dispatch non CDL through Class 8.
